It just feels like yesterday itself when they met at the annual carnival. Being a small laid back town which doesn’t have many events the carnival was the biggest event for everyone in the city.
On that fateful day, Amit asked Kabir to accompany him to the Carnival and upon getting confirmation from his best friend he also invited his friends from school. They all agreed to meet at the icecream corner at the entrance at 7 in the evening. Kabir reached at sharp 7 and ordered icecream for Amit and his friends. He thought this would be a great gesture to extend friendship to these strangers. Since Amit, Jasmin, Jenifer, and Noah stayed at the same township they reached together. The twins Rajvi and Yug reached directly after their evening hobby class.
Everyone quickly grabbed their ice creams and started to move towards the carnival after thanking Kabir for the treat. By the time Rajvi took her first bite she accidentally bumped into an old lady passing through the gate and dropped her icecream to the floor. Yug started to tease her sister about her careless behaviour when suddenly Amit argued that this is a huge disrespect to his favourite desert icecream and that Rajvi should treat them all with another one while they would go out to compensate for the same. Everyone liked the idea except Rajvi as this is going to tank her pocket-money allowance. But she also knew that she would not be spared by her friends.
The carnival was fun, and the kids enjoyed food, music, shows, and most importantly each others company. While returning back they ensured that Rajvi pay her fine and treated everyone with icecream.
After the icecream they bid each other bye and agreed to meet again soon. At first, they were just a group of acquaintances who enjoyed hanging out and doing things together. But as they spent more time together, they realised that they had a special bond. They laughed together, supported each other, and always had each other's backs. Before they knew it, they had become the best of friends. They called themselves the "Fabulous Seven" and made it a tradition to get together at least once a month for a fun outing or just to hang out at someone's house. Their initial hangout place was Kabir’s house as he had many toys, but after Noah’s mother, Rajeshwari aunty, opened her cafe “Soul Cafe” it soon became their all time favourite. Today is 15th anniversary of their initial meet at the Carnival. Over the years, the Fantastic Seven have been through a lot together. They've celebrated each other's achievements and supported each other through tough times. They've traveled to new places and tried new things together. And through it all, their friendship has only grown stronger. As she is reliving the beautiful memories of the Fab Seven, Noah is decorating Soul Cafe in the same Carnival theme before her friends would join. She ensured to order the same icecream flavour as she knew Kabir would like to pull some prank on Rajvi and her icecream.
Life probably does not work the way we want, but thanks to our friends we find many beautiful moments and fill our lives with perfect colours. So if you're ever feeling down or need some positivity in your life, just remember that it's always possible to make amazing friends who will be there for you no matter what. Just keep an open mind and a kind heart, and who knows what friendships may come your way.
